About Rosie Fiallo
Rosie Fiallo launched Fiallo+Shoop Communications with her husband Larry Shoop in 2016. She had a 25-year career in mainstream media working for television and radio stations across the country. Rosie has covered national political conventions, local and state politics and a multitude of topics and issues as a general assignment reporter, anchor, writer, producer and contributor for news outlets ranging from CNN to PBS Newshour to network affiliates in Portland, Atlanta and Las Vegas. She has marketing and communications experience in K-12 and higher education.
In 2019, Rosie joined the Marketing and Communications team at Pacific University as an Assistant Director of Communications. She is a member of the Pacific’s Diversity Committee. Rosie plans and writes internal communications for students, faculty and staff, as well as content for print and online channels. Founded in 1849, Pacific is the number one private research university in the Pacific Northwest and ranks number 10 on the West Coast, alongside the likes of USC and Stanford.
Prior to Pacific, Rosie developed strategic marketing and communications plans, created content and managed crisis communications and media relationships for Oregon’s largest school district. At Portland Public Schools, she was responsible for internal communications for employees, students and families, and created video, web and social media content.
Rosie is bicultural and speaks Spanish.
